Most of the time, though, I don't even bother looking in a mirror because I know that I don't want to see the image looking back.
While the transformation is going on and weight is SLOWLY coming off-- how does one dress to make one look and feel better?
I am a black freak. I always have been. Black is supposed to be slimming. Does it work? I think so. For the most part.
Backfat, armpit fat, bat wings, the muffin top, flabby abs, the double chin, and the non-thigh gap are all things that I try to camouflage.
I try to hold my head up, without slouching. That helps with the chin a bit. V-neck shirts help too- the less around the neck, the better so as not to draw attention to the double chin!
Shirts with sleeves- loose and flowing help with bat wings and arm fat. And a proper fitting bra doesn't make the fat at the top of the arm spill out.
The muffin top can be tamed by wearing higher waist pants. Spanx and the like are supposed to help with that too but I have never tried those- so let me know if it works! Avoid low-rise jeans at all cost!!!
Flabby abs can be hidden by a loose fitting shirt over control-top briefs.
I don't really care about my nonexistent thigh gap- except I don't wear skirts so my thighs can rub together! Thick tights or bike shorts style shapers can help keep everything tight.
Thank goodness I don't have cankles. (All the same colour for shoes and tights helps camouflage that area!)
Anyone want to share their clothing secrets!??
